Terri Kraft
Head of School
I attended a Montessori in Barrington for 2 years and then went into the public school system from kindergarten through high school. After graduating from Hoffman High, I went to Illinois State University where I studied Early Childhood Education. After 4 years, I transferred to Roosevelt University where I received my type 04 Early Childhood Education certification which allows me to teach birth through 3rd grade. I have experience teaching children in this age range. but my love of teaching the 2-3 years olds kept me teaching them for most of my career. After my last year at ISU, I took my Montessori Infant-Toddler training at Meca-Seton in 1992. I’ve been at Mansio Montessori since 1996 with over 28 years of experience in the 2-3 classroom environment, as well as over 10 years experience teaching kindergarten. In 2018, I became the Educational Director and in 2019 began the Administration and Leadership training through Montessori. In June 2022, I became the Head of School.
I have 2 children Tori (20) and Connor (18) and a dog named Harley.
My love for Mansio brought my family to St. Charles 15 years ago because it was important to me to be close to my job, as well as where my children would eventually attend school after graduating from Mansio. Mansio is my home away from home, and I feel very grateful to be a part of this wonderful community.
