I grew up in Hoffman Estates, IL. I attended a Montessori school in Barrington for 2 years and then went into the public school system from kindergarten through high school. After graduating from Hoffman High, I went to Illinois State University where I studied Early Childhood Education. After 4 years, I transferred to Roosevelt University where I received my type 04 Early Childhood Education certification which allows me to teach birth through 3rd grade. I have experience teaching children in this age range, but my love of teaching the 2-3 year olds kept me teaching them for most of my career. After my last year at ISU, I took my Montessori Infant-Toddler training at Meca-Seton in 1993. I’ve been at Mansio Montessori since 1996 with over 22 years of experience in the 2-3 year old classroom environment, as well as over five years of experience teaching kindergarten.
Outside of work, I’m busy watching my two children, Tori (14) and Connor (11) in their various activities. Tori is a competitive cheerleader on her high school’s cheer team, and Connor plays football, basketball, and lacrosse.
My love for Mansio brought my family to move to St. Charles 9 years ago because it was important to me to be close to my job, as well as where my children would eventually attend school after graduating from Mansio. Mansio is my home away from home, and I feel very grateful to be a part of this wonderful community.
