As the oldest of four, I began working with young children at an early age. From watching my 3 younger brothers, to babysitting neighborhood kids, I have done it all. So, it was only natural for me to earn my degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught in the classroom for several years and then moved into the role as Assistant Director. I left this position in 2020, after the birth of my third child and decided to stay home for a few years. When my oldest began kindergarten, I decided to go back to part time work at Peck Farm and then found my home at Mansio.
Though my time here has been short thus far, I know this is where I was meant to be. The Montessori method has swiftly become my ideal form of education and as Terri said, “You were already Montessori, you just didn’t know it”.
My family and I live on the far west side of Saint Charles where we enjoy all things country. When I am not at Mansio, you will most likely find me hiking, landscaping, or tending to my many, many houseplants. By many, I mean over 70 different types…. Together, my husband Steve and I are raising three spirited boys, Kelin, Cade and Beck. With my experience of having three younger brothers, I was prepped for this. There is truly never a dull moment!
