Establishing educational foundations in your toddler by enrolling in a preschool is highly encouraged. However, for first-time parents, preschool enrollment is often found difficult and confusing, especially with so many available options. Are you looking for a Montessori preschool in St. Charles with teachers who believe in nurturing children in mind, body, and spirit to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle? Mansio Montessori can help!

A St. Charles Preschool: The Montessori Way

Mansio Montessori isn’t new to the world of preschool education or the culture of St. Charles. The founder of our program, Maria Montessori, began formulating her methods of early education in 1906 across the Atlantic Ocean in her home country of Italy. After finding her methods to be successful in both teaching and nurturing children, the popularity of her program eventually inspired the development of thousands of schools across the globe.

Seventy-five years later, our staff at Mansio began caring for the preschoolers of St. Charles. We are dedicated to continually providing children with an education that encourages both social and academic excellence.

Your Local St. Charles Preschool

Located in Geneva, just five minutes away from St. Charles, Mansio Montessori is well-versed in the world of preschool education and the culture of St. Charles. With Pottawatomie Park, Boy Scout Island, and the St. Charles History Museum close by, we love to encourage parents to continue their Montessori learning outside the classroom !

As we care for the preschoolers of St. Charles, we are dedicated to continually providing children with an education that encourages both social and academic excellence.

We're Committed to Child Development

At Mansio, we’ve been committed to implementing Montessori principles, investing in the St. Charles community and families since 1981. Our program values the individual learning style and pace of each child. For parents who prioritize the same principles, we invite you to learn more about our approach and available programs.

The unique methods we implement at Mansio deeply contrast those of the traditional schooling system . We want to be different than traditional schooling by investing in children beyond their ability to fill in bubbles to pass standardized tests.

We recognize the importance of identifying each child’s strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, we tailor the education to each student and focus on a child-centered learning environment as opposed to a teacher-centered and curriculum-paced one. Furthermore, within our multi-age classrooms, we believe there are unique learning opportunities to be found through socialization and children teaching other children in hands-on, play-focused education.

We Support Healthy Habits

In our mission to encourage children to be healthy and create good, lasting habits, we also prioritize mealtime as a learning experience as well. Our organic lunches are supplied by a catering company that sources from local businesses and purveyors of the St. Charles area, so your preschoolers are taking in wholesome foods free of artificial hormones and preservatives.

Meals are served family-style, so each child has opportunities to practice independence, as well as table-setting practices and basic manners and politeness principles. A healthy body encourages a healthy mind, and we take that very seriously in the Montessori preschool program.

We desire to inspire a passion for learning within each child they can carry with them as they grow and mature throughout their academic careers. The preschool ages are a prime time to begin formulating habits they can carry with them into healthy, balanced adulthood. Graduates from our program learn lessons not only in reading and math but also in development and maturation promoting self-regulation and social consciousness.

Our Promise of Health and Safety

We understand the importance of keeping your children healthy and safe as they learn and develop their social skills. That’s why at  Mansio , we guarantee our dedication to preparing your toddler’s development with optimal learning environments that stimulate educational development both at home and in school. By tailoring the educational experience to each child, we inspire our students with a passion for learning.

Furthermore, we regularly monitor   the most current health and safety guidelines recommended by the CDC   to create the safest learning environment for your little ones. If you wish to know more about the measures we take to defend our preschool classroom from the spread of COVID-19, we are happy to answer any questions!
