I grew up in St. Charles and live in Batavia with my husband of 36 years and our two dogs. I knew from a young age that I wanted to become a preschool teacher. I started my career as an assistant and then as a teacher at a local daycare center. I did this until the birth of my first son, when I took time off as a stay-at-home mom.

Once my two boys started school, I had the opportunity to help out in their classrooms and observe some amazing teachers from whom I learned an enormous amount. I helped out in their classrooms through their preschool and elementary school years and assisted and taught their religious education classes.

Inspired by these experiences, in the Fall of 2000 I began working as an assistant at a local Montessori school. I fell in love with the Montessori method and decided to complete my training to become a certified Montessori Directress. I have over 20 years of Montessori experience from several schools in Saint Charles. During the 2020-2021 school year I had an opportunity to homeschool for a family whose children I had previously taught. I loved the opportunity to bring Montessori into the home.



I am thrilled to be at Mansio with such a talented staff. I look forward to bringing a life-long love for learning into the children’s lives.
